And Kate’s heart quickend…

I’m sorry it took so long to update, but Castle abandoned it a bit because of his newest Nikki Heat novel..

And Castle, you were not completely right about running this blog alone. And you reaaaaaaaally should come up with a better password. Alexis isn’t a good password..

Stan Banks, a normal guy, but obsessed with treasure hunting, was killed.

When we arrived at the crime scene in the Pennybakers club, apperantly and important and popular club in the 40’s, Lanie, our M.E., was already busy with examining the body. He had a single GSW to his sternum and the TOD was between 6 and 8 that morning. He had tried to defend himself with a green stake.
Castle looked around a bit and discovered that someone had been sleeping behind the bar probably our victim. Ryan dug into his ID and drivers license, since they had 2 different addresses, and his family while Esposito, Castle and me got back to the twelfth.

Back at there, we went through his personal stuff. Nothing really important came out, some books about gangsters in the 40’s and a diary from a guy named Joe Flynn.
A while later, Stan’s family arrived and Castle and me asked them some questions. Just the normal questions but one strange answer. Our victim, Stan, was busy looking for a Blue Butterfly..

And apparently our murder was in connection with a double murder that took place in the 1940’s. 1947, to be precise.
A woman, named Vera Mulqueen, and a man, Joe Flynn, met eachother in a bar. Vera was a gangsters moll and Joe a P.I. who got the assignment to find Vera, for her sister, Sally.
Vera was protecting a Blue Butterfly. Not an insect, a necklace. Worth over 1 millon dollars, easily.

There were some things in the P.I.’s diary that helped us solve this case.
Everyone thought Vera and Joe were dead, because of the Blue Butterfly’s ‘curse’..
But there’s always a chain of events that makes everything make sense, so, in the picture of the 2 dead bodies “Vera and Joe”. But in the picture, next to the car was a t-strapped shoe, the ones that Sally always wore..
In the end, we figured out that Sally wanted revenge for Vera ‘killing’ her mother. She took in her place, which caused Sally’s moms murder.

So, Vera and Joe are still alive today. Joe pretended to be the barman to not to be accused of murder and to let everybody think they were dead.
The Blue Butterfly? They hid it in a wall, in the Pennybakersclub.

But I am forgetting the most important part. The guy who took care of Vera and Joe turned out to be the killer. He wanted the Necklace, also for some kind of revenge..

We have some pretty weird cases, don’t we?

Okay, so, Castle. I am not a writer. This is a bad piece of information.. My reports are better. But it turns out, that I can do this too.. BUT, get your ass over here, because I’ll not be writing a lot more of these and people want to know how we solved the case.
